From the Principal's Office
Thank you for visiting our site, I hope you will find what you are looking for. Please let me start by mentioning that it is an honor to serve as principal of St. Joseph Catholic Parish School. I couldn’t be more grateful to help lead our school and I am confident that we will achieve great things in the coming years.
Since its start in 1949, St. Joseph Catholic School has been a place of learning, growth and faith for every life it has touched. The vision of creating a parish school was based on a dream to extend Catholic education far into the Athens community. That dream still lives today.
Here at St. Joseph, we encourage the pursuit of academic excellence and cultivate a faithful life through religious development and servant leadership. Not only do we wish to create a knowledgeable environment for our students and family but we wish to continue to support and promote a caring, loving and safe environment for our students as well. We hold all students, faculty and staff to the highest standard of accountability, social responsibility and integrity. This allows us to grow as better, more morally sound children of Christ.
We are proud of our parents, faculty, staff and students who all take part in helping shape a strong Catholic identity through service and social justice, intellectual curiosity throughout a comprehensive curriculum, and an understanding of global and cultural diversity. By focusing on these areas in conjunction with our 21st Century approach, our goal is to forge a strong connection between tradition, innovation and our school’s future.
We know St. Joseph is and will continue to be a place of growth based on our strong commitment to our students’ intellectual and spiritual growth.
As we start today in this endeavor to serve our community, I invite you, along with all members of the St. Joseph family to see the opportunities that abound at St. Joseph Catholic School. I encourage all to take advantage of them. I am eager to share my faith and talents with our school and parish and I hope you will do the same. Thank you for joining me in this journey with God and, for those of you who are new, welcome to our school.
Yours in Christ,
May the perfect grace and eternal love of Christ our Lord be our never-failing protection and help.
St. Ignatius of Loyola.
