Lower School

Our lower school consists of grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Lower school curriculum includes the core subjects of Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Enrichments including Technology, Global Language, Physical Education, Music, Art, and Library, are attended weekly. Google Chromebooks and Clear Touch Boards outfit every classroom, and 4th and 5th graders have their own technology devices. Our curriculum encourages inquiry-based learning and involves hands-on experiences to help students make meaningful connections between their learning and the world around them. Lower school faculty collaborate and are familiar with each grade’s expectations to ensure a seamless transition from one grade to the next. St. Joseph promotes a Catholic learning environment where each student’s unique talents are recognized, making all students valued contributors to the learning experience.
