Who Rocks the Castle? The Knights rock the castle! Welcome to one of the best and most diverse cheer programs in the city!
At St. Joseph Catholic School we sparkle with school spirit! In addition to an outstanding sports program, we have an awesome cheerleading program for girls in 3rd through 8th grades.
Third, 4th, and 5th grade girls may sign up to be SJS Peppers. These girls learn basic cheer moves and cheers from our faculty coaches. They have first class uniforms, participate in all pep rallies, and cheer at home basketball games every year. The program starts after Labor Day and runs through March.
When girls reach 6th grade, they may join our Middle School Cheerleading Squad. They learn advanced cheer moves, including stunts and dances. They cheer at all basketball games, home and away. They also perform at pep rallies and participate in athletic fundraising events. This program runs from Labor Day through March. Both programs focus on teaching responsibility, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
