Alexandria Pierre Louis
3rd Grade Teacher
I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I graduated from the program in May, 2013 with Reading, ESOL, and Gifted Education endorsements. I began my career three years ago at Glen Springs Elementary in Gainesville, Florida teaching Second and Fourth Grade gifted math and science. I am new to both St. Joseph Catholic School and Athens and I could not be more excited to be sharing this new experience with such warm-hearted and spiritual indivduals!
From a young child, I understood the power of human connection, which led me straight into education. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher because I wanted to improve the worth of others. As an educator, I believe in high quality instruction, continous review of progress, and collaboration; all of which positively impact student achievement. In my classroom, emphasis is also placed on life-long academic connections through hands-on learning and creating unforgettable relationships!
Originally from Miami, Florida, I love being out and about on new adventures! From moving to a new place to trying out resturants, I find exploring the unknown to be exhilarating!
I am looking forward to the 2017-2018 school year where what your child learns will become a part of who they are. Remember, here at St. Joseph Catholic School, we may all be different but in this school we swim together!
