Middle School Language Arts

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia, having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in World Language Education and a minor in History. Currently, I teach English Language Arts and Literature at St. Joseph School. In my time at UGA I became involved with the parish at St. Joseph, and I’m very excited to be able to give back to the community which helped form me into the Catholic I am today. The prospect of being able to teach in a way which accounts for the soul as well as the mind is very gratifying, as is the ability to center all learning around the precepts of the Catholic Faith. I am overjoyed to take part in forming our future generations of Catholics, both academically and spiritually.

In my freetime, I enjoy making music, cooking, and spending time with friends. I have spent several years in Athens, and I thoroughly enjoy exploring its many facets on my time off.  Its restaurants and music are always worth experiencing. I also have a great love for the Holy Mass, and assist as an organist and director of music at a nearby Catholic church.

It is very exciting to be on board with the SJS team, and I look forward to being a part of the school and community.
