River Watch

River Watch is part of the Georgia's Adopt-a-Stream program that allows volunteers to monitor the health of local streams. Our middle school students are involved with sampling, collecting and reporting the water results from McNutts Creek that flows through our school property once a month. Students learn how to test for air & water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and the conductivity of the water. Along with water testing, students make observations and record habitat information about the stream.
